How should curly hair be cut?
Dry, and in the direction the curl grows. The barber shapes the outline and removes weight from underneath rather than taking length off the top uniformly, so the shape holds as the curl expands through the day.
What about a fade or a line-up?
A temple fade or a taper frames the volume without cutting into it, and a razor line-up squares the hairline. Both are done inside the same hour — say which finish you want when you sit down.
How do I look after it between cuts?
