What is a Caesar cut?
A short, uniform top combed forward with the fringe cut flat across the forehead, and short sides. The line of the fringe is the whole cut — it should be level, not curved, and it should sit high enough not to look like a bowl.
Caesar cut or French crop?
The Caesar is shorter and its fringe is cut in a straight horizontal line. The French crop is slightly longer with a softer, more textured front. If you want the most minimal version, ask for the Caesar.
Does it work with a beard?
Strongly. The flat fringe up top against a shaped beard below gives the face two clean horizontal lines. Book the hour and ask your barber to shape both.
