Slick back, quiet authority
Slick Back
Where can I get a slick back haircut in Dubai?
At M3 Barbershop City Walk or Detail. A slick back carries even length across the top and combs it straight back from the forehead — the quietest way to look expensive.
The slick back is having its second life through the old money look, and the modern version is matte and slightly loose rather than wet and rigid.

What is a slick back?
Uniform medium length on top, long enough to reach back past the crown, with sides tapered or left slightly longer depending on how soft you want it. Everything travels in one direction: back.
Wet look or matte?
Matte, almost always. A high-shine slick back reads dated in 2026; a matte paste or a light cream gives control without the plastic finish. Ask your barber what to use — they will hand you the tin they actually work with.
Will a slick back work with my hairline?
Combing back exposes the temples, so it is the least forgiving cut for a receding hairline. Your barber will tell you plainly, and if it is not right, a French crop does the opposite job.

أسئلة يطرحها الناس
How much length do I need to slick my hair back?
Enough to reach past the crown when combed — usually eight centimetres or more on top.
Is a slick back the same as the old money haircut?
It is the cut most often behind that look, along with a side part. We have a page for the old money style itself.
How often should it be cut?
Every four to five weeks — it carries length, so it moves out of shape slowly.
What does a slick back cost at M3 Dubai?
The hourly rate of the barber you book, for the hour you reserve.
